87 = Shore A Hardness

S = Polyester 

TC Series – Shore Hardness – Type of Prepolymer

In the TC Series product codes, the two digits that follow ‘TC’ are the target Shore A hardness rating for the finished product. Shore D hardness is indicated with a “D” in front of the two digits.

S = Polyester Based

For applications calling for high properties as well as abrasion and chemical resistance, polyester based TDI prepolymers may be the answer. Grades are available from 70 to 90 Shore A hardness.

E = PTMEG Based

PTMEG based TC Series grades are available in Shore A 90 and 95, as well as 60D.

P = Polyether Polyol Based

Ideal for medium property elastomer, coatings, and adhesives applications, polyether polyol based grades range from 85 to 95A and also is available in 75D Shore hardness.
